G'Town's 2005 schedule
Gets some flack from the Sports Network:
#2 Easiest OOC Schedule in I-AA
2. Georgetown (Brown 9/17, @ Stony Brook 9/24, Duquesne 10/8, @ Cornell 10/15, Davidson 11/2) - The Hoyas history of Mid-Major competition continues with three on the 2005 slate.
One can only hope with a new field they will be able to get some better games at Harbin. They also need to get more competitive with the mid-majors they're scheduling. Losing to Monmouth wouldn't make me want to go schedule UNH.
Also menitoned in the article is Lehigh playing at Delaware and at Harvard. Tough road for Lehigh but they could be up to the challenge.

Going with a patsy schedule is the best thing they can do, imo. Nothing wrong with building up morale and interest in the program by having a .500 mark for a few years. After that point they can suit it up with CAA or other big conference teams, imo. Nothing kills morale, interest and recruiting as much as getting plastered by other schools in your division (except getting plastered by mid-majors ... they obviously need to win those games).

I agree - it just gives our league a bad image. The bottom two teams (HC and G'Town) drag down our conference strength. I don't mind a mid-major on the schedule; but one is enough and it needs to be a solid win.
